These $10 Indian Gold Eagles are ungraded, raw coins in AU to BU condition. Dates range from 1910-1932 struck at the Philadelphia, San Francisco, or Denver mint. Mint State Gold selects the dates/mints you receive based on current inventory and we feel confident that you will be very pleased with the selections.

AU (Almost Uncirculated) to BU (Brilliant Uncirculated) coins, though on first glance may all appear uncirculated, upon closer examination AU coins may reveal moderate traces of wear or evidence of friction visible on the high points. Generally half to three-quarters of the original mint luster is still present. BU coins have not been circulated in society and show no signs of wear. BU coins may have a sharp strike, bold devices, smooth fields, and/or may exhibit various shades or degrees of toning, adding a unique beauty to their already incredible appeal.

Trading for only small premiums over their precious metal melt value, AU to BU $10 gold coins are perfect for investors and collectors wanting to add fine rare coins to their holdings.

Surprisingly controversial in its time, the $10 Indian later became revered as one of the top coin designs in US history. While an impressively majestic eagle perched upon a collection of arrows dominates the reverse side, the obverse introduced a new high standard of art in United States coins. Renowned sculptor Augustus Saint-Gaudens blended two traditions for the $10 gold eagle coins by combining the left facing "Lady Liberty" bust from the Liberty series with a Native American ceremonial headdress inspired by the $2.50 and $5 Indian coins. Another departure from previous standards is found on the edge of the coins, where 46 raised stars (48 stars from 1912 on) are arranged representing the states of the Union.

NIce coin

The shop has very nice material, but is a little off settling in regards to finding other coins. I was told a particular coin was lower than their standard, and I should look elsewhere.
