Here is a beautiful 2016 $50 Gold Eagle graded MS70 First Release by NGC with the 30th Anniversary Label. This 1oz American Gold Eagle coin is struck from 22kt Gold and features sharp details, crisp devices, satin-smooth fields, and brilliant surfaces.

First Release coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Release. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Release during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
