Description

This 2008-W $50 Burnished Gold Eagle is simply immaculate. Graded a perfect SP70/MS70 by PCGS and certified First Strike, this Gold Eagle features pristine fields and a razor-sharp strike. The rich straw-gold surfaces are home to incredibly strong details and the original mint luster is truly stunning.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. Use of these first dies typically result in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
