Description

Here is a 2015-W $50 Burnished Gold Eagle that has graded SP70/MS70 by PCGS and is certified First Strike. Featuring a blazing original mint luster, smooth surfaces, and clear fields, this Gold Eagle is impressive. A Product of the West Point Mint, this Burnished American Eagle is well-struck and has excellent detail.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
