These 1 ounce American Gold Eagle Proof coins are absolutely dazzling with exquisite details, sharp devices, and magnificent mirror-like surfaces. These Proof Eagles are uncirculated and come with the original government packaging: a beautiful U.S. Mint Box and Certificate of Authenticity. Containing 1 oz. of 22-KT Gold, these $50 Gold Eagle Proofs are sure to please even the most discerning numismatist or gold collector.

Dates range from 1986 to the present. Mint State Gold selects the dates you receive and feels confident that you will be very pleased with the selections.

The minting of the Gold Eagle Proofs has been commissioned to the U.S. Mint at West Point, and they have done an incredible job of producing the Proof versions of these American Gold Eagle coins. By using a specialized minting process that begins by manually feeding burnished coin blanks into presses fitted with special dies, the coin is then struck multiple times so the softly frosted and highly detailed images seem to float above the field.

American Eagle Gold coins are guaranteed by the U.S. government in weight, content and purity and the Gold American Eagles appeal to both investors and collectors alike. The classic and beautiful obverse (front) design of Lady Liberty recalls a golden age of coin artistry. This Liberty design has been a longtime favorite since it was first used back in 1907 on the $20 Gold St. Gaudens coins.
