Here is a stunning 2006 $50 Gold Eagle with a perfect grade of MS70 First Strikes from NGC. The surfaces of this Gold Eagle are absolutely captivating, with intricate detail and clarity on the devices. A warm golden hue gleams off of the smooth, lustrous fields. This 1 oz Gold Eagle has a fabulous luster and the eye-appeal is extraordinary.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
