Here is a 2014-W Burnished Gold Eagle that has graded SP70/MS70 by PCGS and designated First Strike. This Gold stunner exhibits blazing original mint luster. This impressive 2014-W First Strike Gold Eagle features beautiful, smooth surfaces and clear fields. A product of the West Point Mint, this Burnished American Eagle displays devices that are powerfully-struck, resulting in excellent high-point detail throughout.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
