Here is a 2016 $100 American Platinum Eagle graded MS70 and certified First Strike by PCGS. Featuring fully articulated, frosty devices atop pristine fields. This surfaces of this Platinum Eagle are flawless and shine with beautiful luster. The details are highly defined, evidence of a sharp strike. This Eagle has outstanding eye-appeal and will make a valuable part of any collection.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
