Description

Perfect for world gold collections, these British Queen Victoria Jubliee Head Gold Sovereigns each contain .2355 ounces pure gold and each one is in Brilliant Uncirculated (BU) condition and dated pre-1933. Mint State Gold selects the date(s) you receive and feels confident that you will be very pleased with the selections.

The Queen Victoria Jubilee Head Gold Sovereigns were first introduced in 1887 and continued until 1892. The obverse (front side) features a left facing bust of Queen Victoria wearing a small crown and veil. The reverse (back side) design features Saint George slaying a dragon as designed by a brilliant young Italian engraver, Benedetto Pistrucci. This beautiful classic design remains on the gold sovereigns today, almost two hundred years later.
