Description

Presenting a 2014 Prestige Panda First Strike Set that contains 5 Gold Pandas all graded MS70 First Strike by PCGS and a 30 gram Silver Lunar Medallion. Struck at the Shenzhen Guobao Mint and issued by the People's Bank of China, this is one of ONLY 1,000 to have been authenticated. Each of the Pandas feature the Temple of Heaven Prayer Hall with "People's Republic of China" written in Chinese characters on the obverse and a Panda with the coin's denomination on the reverse. Additionally, this box contains a 1oz Silver medallion, featuring the House of Scent in the Summer Palace on the obverse and a colorized portrait of two running horses on the reverse, representing the 2014 lunar Year of the Horse.

Enclosed in a lovely presentation case, this set contains a 30 gram silver medallion and each of the denominations of Gold Pandas minted in 2014: 1oz 500 Yn, 1/2oz 200 Yn, 1/4oz 100 Yn, 1/10oz 50 Yn, and 1/20oz 20 Yn. Also included is a First Strike Authenticity Letter and Certificate of Authenticity (#0757).

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of issuance to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
