Presenting a 2008-W $5 Burnished Gold Buffalo graded SP70 by PCGS. This $5 Buffalo is also certified First Strike and has the Bison label. The strike is sharp and the fields are flawless. This is an outstanding West Point mint, 1/10 oz 24KT Gold Buffalo $5 coin.

First Strike coins are produced using the first dies forged by the Mint for a particular series. The use of these first dies typically results in a higher quality strike and finer details. A coin must be proven to have been released by the Mint within the first 30 days of the issue in order to be designated First Strike. Only a limited quantity of coins will be classified First Strikes during any production run, making them prized among collectors and investors for their increased scarcity and added beauty.
